Hi 1292simon, no problem, these facts came from a Feb 1982 Road & Track review of the then new e28 528e, which was in the Road & Track article compilation book. From these basic facts, the myth about the disabled electric windows in the e12 started. However, those stories are all unsubstantiated. I just wrote down what Road & Track's John Lamm wrote. It seems the myth built up over the years, from these basic facts.

Indeed, the story seemed to grow with each telling! The version I first heard was a torture session for some big German engineers crammed into the back with the windows disabled... Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 21:27, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
