Grammar corrections

edit

Hello, and welcome to editing Wikipedia. I hope you have a successful time here. However, it will probably be better if you find another way to contribute than correcting grammar, because while some of your changes have been helpful, unfortunately some have been mistaken. To give just one example, in the expression "a US-led effort", "US-led" is effectively one word, used as an adjective, and so hyphenating it to make it appear as one word makes sense, but in "The US led the effort", "US" and "led" are separate words, performing separate functions in the sentence (its subject and its verb) so hyphenation makes no sense at all. Also never change the words of a quote, even if you think they are grammatically wrong; a quote should tell us what the quoted person actually said, not what we think they should have said.
