Davido edit

Greetings Pyxon, Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia, particularly to the Davido article. The information you added regarding Davido and the taxi driver is controversial. Me and another editor have had a dispute over this information. If you want you to read our dispute, you can visit Talk:Davido. Per Wikipedia guidelines, consensus needs to be reached for controversial incidents involving BLPs. Versace1608 (Talk) 14:18, 2 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

July 2014 edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Versace1608 (Talk) 22:55, 22 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Tonto Dikeh edit

Greetings Pyxon. Thanks for your contributions to the Tonto Dikeh article. Instead of using the Infobox musical artist template, you should use the Infobox person template. The latter template is more appropriate because Dikeh is widely known as an actress. Her musical career hasn't taken shape yet. Versace1608 (Talk) 00:29, 23 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for July 28 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Femi Kuti, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Keyboard. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

List of Nigerian musicians edit

Hello Pyxon, If you are going to continue contributing to the article List of Nigerian musicians, you have to learn to do it without disrupting the article. I noticed you have repeatedly added an entry that already exist on the list see (N section) of the list. That is against the rules. Also, R&B and RnB are both correct however R&B is the common term used across many articles and lists here on Wikipedia. You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia but please donot disrupt articles just because of your personal opinion. Thank you. Stanleytux (talk) 21:46, 28 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Patoranking edit

Per Wikipedia's infobox musical artist, origin means The town, city etc., from which the group or musician originated (that is, the place where the group was founded, or where individual performer started their career, should it not match the location of their birth). If the place is not known, specify at least the country. Do not add a flag icon. Omit the country if it does not differ from that specified at the field "birth_place".. Patoranking told Entertainment Express that he started recording while residing in Ebute Metta. I've never come across an interview where he said he started recording music in Ebonyi state. Always remember to provide reliable sources to support your edits. Versace1608 (Talk) 04:32, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Infoboxes edit

You need to learn the difference between Template:Infobox person and Template:Infobox musical artist. Some parameters of the two infoboxes mentioned are only native to one or the other. You can't go around adding parameters to any infobox you see. Versace1608 (Talk) 04:46, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Patoranking edit

Patoranking's parents being from Ebonyi State is irrelevant. The article is about him, not his parents. I've already explained to you that you cannot use one's family birthplace as theirs. Patoranking wasn't born in Ebonyi State and didn't start his musical career there. Versace1608 (Talk) 21:53, 29 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

August 2014 edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Patoranking. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  - 2/0 (cont.) 23:58, 1 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Kevin Harrington (entrepreneur) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
