The photos were taken by either friends of James and Tom Martin or friends of mine and they gave me their permission to use them just not sure how to tag them or which to use

- Don't panic about the AFD notice, I'm sure we can get the article into an acceptable form between us,I will substitute my draft version if you're OK with that. - OK, I have substituted my draft, and added your list of songs but the capital letters will have to be changed. If you aren't sure how to do something I usually find the best way is to go to a similar article and click on "edit" in the section where there are bits I want to copy, then you can see how the formatting has been done (remember not to change the article you are copying from though. Please remove your name from the bottom of the article. Nobody "takes credit" for any Wikipedia articles but if you want to know who has edited them you can click on "history" at the top of the page.Jud 17:53, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

No problem, I was glad to help - I have had a couple of my own articles deleted (including one I did about Albion (they are not considered "notable" enough :( ) and it is really annoying! Let's hope we have done enough now to save the article.
It would be useful if you could dig up some more online references to their songs, reviews or interviews and include them in the "References" section. These must be from bona fide sources, not forums, blogs or listings sites. If you want to include a photo you must tag it for copyright purposes, and say where you got it from - if it is one of your own photos or if you have permission from the twins to release it to the public domain then it will be OK as long as you say so on the image page. You can copy the Licensing tags from the photo used on Alistair Griffin's page (just click on his photo and 'edit this page' to see the code). If you don't do this it will be deleted automatically. The thing that makes Wikipedia considerably more complex copyright wise that most regular websites is that it's a free content project. Meaning that as a default we only want images that the copyright holder released under a set of terms (aka a license) that is considered free (as in freedom). As a minimum this generaly means that anyone must be allowed to use, modify and distribute the images or new images based on them for any purpose (including commercial uses). Images in the public domain (free of any copyright) are naturaly good too. Some exceptions exist for situations where it's highly unlikely that free licensed material can be obtained, but it's supposed to be kept to a minimum, see Wikipedia:Non-free content for details about that.
So to answer your question: It kinda depends on the copyright holder. If they just said "Sure it's ok to use them" the images can't rely be used, there are still too many questions. Did they mean it's only ok to use on Wikipedia or can others use them too? Are people allowed to modify the images? How about using for commercial things? To minimize such ambiguity we generaly prefeer to have the copyright holder formaly agree to release something under a formalised free license such as the GNU Free Documentation License aka GFDL (not rely the best license for images though) or some of the Creative Commons licenses, or at least clearly state that anyone is free to do whatever they want with the images with no special terms or conditions. Please see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for some more details and how to go about asking for the right kind of permission and where to send the confirmation if and when you recieve it.
Hope this was a little help, sorry it got this longwinded, but copyright issues can get very complex so it's hard to just say "pick this tag" without grossly oversimplifying or misrepresenting the issues. Basicaly you need to have the copyright holder agree to a spesific license and then use the tag that represent that license (see the requestion permission page I linked to above). You can also try browsing over Wikipedia:Basic copyright issues for an attempt to explain some of the basics or ask me to be more spesific if things are still unclear. - Hi again, the "problem" is that per the copyright law every "creative work" (such as a photograph) is automaticaly copyrighted from the moment it's created. So whoever took those photos does in fact hold the copyright to them, wheter they know or want it or not (unless they where hired spesificaly to take the photos, in wich case whoever paid for them generaly have the copyright, see Work for hire).
- Now between friends and for most private websites this is not generaly something you need to worry about, as long as you are sure no one is going to sue you for using them all is well. However since Wikipedia actively encourage people to use, modify and re-distribute our content we have several policies in place to ensure that the people who own the copyright to the material we host have actualy agreed to this ahead of time, rater than wait and see if someone complains.
- If the photographer is fine with having anyone do anyting with the images there is no need to use a complex legal license though, something like {{PD-author}} is fine. The thing is that we need to know that they have actualy agreed to this. Idealy you should ask them to comfirm in writing in an e-mail and then forward this to the permissions adress as mentioned in Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, alternatively as a minimum you should at least write something along the lines of "Photographed/Copyrighted by XXX who told me anyone can use this with no restrictions" (asuming that is the case, or if there are conditions what those are (best to have them agree to a set of conditions we have a matching license tag for (read what the tags says basicaly) otherwise things get very complicated) in the summary section of the image page. That way we wil at least know that you asked them for the right kind of permission and didn't just click on a random license tag from the list (unfortunately that happens far too often).

I presume that these are the images to which you are referring. "Private communication" is not an option here, as there must be an official note of permission provided through the WP:OTRS system. Any claims of 'permission' must be proved by the person releasing the permission - and that must be received through official channels. - Sadly, without that permission, the images will be deleted. You may want to let it be deleted and then go to WP:Deletion review - or you might just want to take another one that was recently deleted, like Image:The Real People.jpg to deletion review to get a wider consensus on the question. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:40, 18 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. - make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en
wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en
