HI Elysia. I'm trying to respond. I put in a colon as this is the first reply. Though maybe I don't need that because I used a new section?Purplemountain1 (talk) 00:51, 8 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Purplemountain1 you're right, you don't need a colon because it's a new section! But because you indented once, in replying to you I would indent twice, so I used two colons. If you want to make sure a user sees your post, you should send them a notification by typing {{ping|Elysia (Wiki Ed)}}, or whatever username of the user you want to notify. @Elysia(WikiEd):I saw your comment in Slack regarding trying to set up my "reply" and "subpage" visibiltiy. I've tried again to follow the directions. I'm not sure if it's working? I'm definitely logged in. I pasted in the given language under the "edit source" button on my own talk page, here. I'm curious to see if the reply button will now become available? So sending you a message and trying the ping, too.Purplemountain1 (talk) 19:29, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Purplemountain1, See my reply below! You added the code to the wrong page :) no big deal! Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:34, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Need help with citations?

edit

Hi Purplemountain1, I saw that you added to your sandbox "Help needed: how do I actually insert this reference?" This training will take you through it step-by-step instructions on inserting a citation. Most of the time you'll just need a DOI or PubMed ID of a journal article and it will be able to auto-fill the rest. Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:34, 14 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

importScript( 'User:PrimeHunter/My subpages.js' );

importScript( 'User:Enterprisey/reply-link.js' );

Hi Purplemountain1, this is your user talk page where users will come to ask you questions about your edits or offer feedback. If you want to modify your Wikipedia interface by installing scripts, the page you will need to edit is Special:MyPage/common.js ! You'll have to click "create source" and then keep following these instructions. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:27, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Elysia (Wiki Ed), I think I just did it! I'm hitting reply now to respond to you. Thanks for your patience with all my questions! Purplemountain1 (talk) 19:34, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
Purplemountain1, great! Glad to see it appears to be working! Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:35, 15 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
