RE: Deletion of Mnemosyne (spaced repetition software) edit

Hey, firstly don't be put off by dismissive terms like "blatant advert" as they are wikipedias software terms not mine. Basically, articles about companies and software and things of that nature are deleted as spam if they either a) promote the topic obviously or b) do not state why the topic deserves an article on wikipedia (which leaves it with no purpose other than to advertise). While it may not have been your intention, they will still get deleted fairly quickly (I'm sure you can appreciate wikipedia gets many many articles per day).

With your article, it was nominated for deletion and subsequently deleted (note I only deleted, did not nominate) because it did not seem to say why the software deserved an article. If you want to recreate the article, I would advise trying to address that. Below I have put some links to help you out. Again, sorry that you have had a bad initial experience with wikipedia, don't let it get you down! Keep editing!
