If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} and your question on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

We hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. Greetings, PtAuAg, and welcome to Wikipedia's deletion process! Thank you for your contributions. As a newcomer, it may be helpful for you to read Wikipedia's deletion policy, and the pages describing the articles for deletion process, proposed deletion, and speedy deletion. Remember that deletion debates are not votes, and reasons matter, especially reasons relating to the central content policies of verifiability, neutral point of view, no original research, and what Wikipedia is not, and to the consensual community guidelines for biographies, corporations, music, and fiction. Also remember that deletion is not always the answer to a bad article. Feel free to drop me a line at my talk page if you have any questions. Again, welcome! Sockpuppet stuff

edit

There's a fair chance that you are truly bewildered by the rash of allegations against you which have been leveled by myself and others. Perhaps it would clear up confusion to know that your pages of interest coincide with a notoriously disruptive former editor. You are free to continue improving these pages as you see fit, but -- in the areas that you've chosen so far -- there may a bit of an adjustment phase as people tune down their "radars". Unfortunately, the disruptions of this former editor have necessitated rather guarded stances to be taken by many people with good intentions, who want to see Wikipedia stay true to its pillars. Most Wikipedians (including even those who have targeted you) generally Assume Good Faith. Unfortunately, you managed to set off a few alerts, which I'm sure will be better-tuned, as needed to accommodate our legitimate editors. BigK HeX (talk) 01:19, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yes. Most disconcerting. I was nervous initially contributing as there seem to be a lot of rules around editing and then to get all sorts of inconsistent warnings - single purpose account, then 'sockpuppet' accusations - was not a pleasant welcome. Anyway, I will certainly try to keep within the rules and hopefully will only edit when I see something that is definitely worth correcting or commenting upon. Thanks for the proactive stance in explaining what was going on. I must admit I was flummoxed by it. PtAuAg (talk) 05:26, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
