Welcome!

Hello, Psychomonkey, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

While you're here, please refrain from deleting template tags like {{nonsense}}, which you removed from Appleaddict. Those tags are there to call for administrator action and should be left alone even if you make other edits to the page. Deleting them may be considered vandalism. Thanks! You're welcome

edit

Sorry your first experience here hasn't been great. I will say that all the silliness that was added to the appleaddict page made it more likely to be deleted. There's a low tolerance for nonsense on the site. Anyway, if you have any questions, just ask! | Klaw ¡digame! 03:26, 13 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

The boxes

edit

OK, couple of things. First, when you make a comment on a Talk page (like you did on mine), sign your post by typing four tildes: ~~~~ That automatically puts your username and the date and time. I guess it was you who asked the question, but if you sign your posts, it'll be easier to figure out.

As for the boxes, what type are you looking for? Some of them are very simple, like to say you're a native speaker of English, you would type {{User en}}. They should go on your User page, though, not your talk page. Tell me what type of box you want and I'll see if I can tell you how to make it. | Klaw ¡digame! 03:50, 13 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Tubists or tuba players?

edit

Removed cfdnotice, cfd has completed. --Kbdank71 16:38, 9 May 2008 (UTC) In fact, the discussion covers whether the main category and all of its sub-categories should be Category:Tubaists, Category:Tubists or Category:Tuba players, and so on. Please take any views you have to the discussion page there.Reply
I think that people that know what they are talking about should comment, because there are things being written like, "'tubists' seems clearly incorrect ... to judge by the ... comments."
In the absence of knowledgeable discussion, an outcome based on ignorance can result.
I'm not getting the impression that most of the participants are serious tubists. -- Rico 04:25, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
