Hi. I'm very sorry for your loss! As for the Wikipedia article, I'm afraid we have to go by verifiable information, information given by a reliable source. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability Perhaps there is a reputable news source out there that got the date right? If so, we could use that article as a source.
