Death of a Gossip edit

You are most welcome. I feel guilty as I have not finished the plot summary. I listened to this via audio book and got very busy with real life and did not get to finish. Am planning on checking the book out of the library and finish off the plot summary when I get back from vacation. I wish there were more sources, i.e. reviews for these books to provide more material to get the article out of stub/start class. If you find any let me know. I have some more books in the series ready to go on my Ipod so hopefully some more articles in the series will get created. I see you also enjoy the Harry Potter series, those were great books. Have you checked out WP:NOVEL, its a good project for people who enjoy fiction. Well gotta go finish packing..... --Captain-tucker (talk) 12:39, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Help with grammar and typos edit

Hi Proxxt. I need some help with this new section I wrote for Hermione: Hermione Granger#Reception. Would you please take a look and correct all grammar mistakes and typos? It is a very short section so it will not be such a great deal. --LøЯd ۞pεth 20:11, 19 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Rose Rent edit

Thanks again for the grammar cleanup. I have never been very good with grammar. Have you read any of the books in this series? I really enjoy them, I just started the next book and will hopefully get an article up for that book as well. Thanks again for cleaning up my english. --Captain-tucker (talk) 11:17, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks edit

Thank you for your comments on my editor review page. You should be bold and start a new article, writing one for a novel is really not that difficult. As a librarian I would imagine you have access to the databases where you can find reviews in things like Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, Kirkus Reviews etc... I get access to these through my local libraries web site. So you should be able to easily create a reception section, then its just a matter of writing a plot summary. Some of which are included in the reviews. Give it a try, it will give you a good feeling of accomplishment when you are done, and feel free to ask me anything. Thanks again and have a great weekend.--Captain-tucker (talk) 13:04, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Marking edits "minor"? edit

It appears you mark most--if not all--your edits "minor". Perhaps this is done by default, but the Minor attribute has a specific meaning (see WP:MINOR), part of which is, "A minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute."

While I think your edits are great, some of them could easily be disputed and are, therefore, not Minor. Please consider using the Minor checkbox only for those edits that fit the Wikipedia definition of "minor".

Thanks! — UncleBubba T @ C ) 00:30, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, this is very helpful. I have been marking most changes I make as "minor", as I am usually making grammatical changes and don't change factual detail much or make big changes to core content. I am mindful of the good will out there and the great work people do. The "Ancient Rome" article has been driving me crazy as it has the potential to be an excellent resource but much of it is expressed in a very poor level of English useage and very inconsistent.

I am very pleased you drew this to my attention as one can feel a bit isolated working on Wikipedia and I am only too pleased to be directed to the most appropriate practices. It is very frustrating to leave invitations for comment on article discussion pages and find they are often ignored. So your comments appreicated. Proxxt (talk) 08:31, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, you're right. Sometimes, this feels like herding cats. I have nearly 1000 pages on my watch list; it's difficult to keep an eye on all of them. Keep up the good work! — UncleBubba T @ C ) 10:02, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
