Cistercian
editI see that you added something about the Cistercian school in the Dallas, Texas article. The article is specifically about Dallas proper.. though no one would much care or notice, I do wonder if it should be kept in there? I suggest that your edit be reverted and an appropriate sentence be placed in the Irving, Texas article, but I will leave the decision up to you. Cheers! drumguy8800 - speak 18:15, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
I did add that bit about Cistercian to the article--and I added it to Irving, Texas on your suggestion. My reasoning was that it's just outside of Dallas, in Dallas County, and attracts a lot of students from Dallas-proper. I also understand that the article is about the city, not the county, and that the school is, in fact, outside the city limits. (Incidently, I think the same is technically true of Greenhill.) I did notice, though, that there are parts of the article that reference Fort Worth and/or the DFW metropolitan area. Thus, I am torn. I'd like to see the reference kept in there, but I do support the "purity" argument. Like you said, I don't know that anyone would really notice or care, but I don't really want a slippery slope, either. So, let me know what you think about the situation. Thanks so much for your care and consideration. It's stuff like this that keeps making Wikipedia better! Profbarium 19:45, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
I think we should include a representative sample. a lot of kids go to schools that aren't necessarily the most prestigious. we shouldn't shortchange them. if we were making an admissions brochure or marketing the school, i would probably agree with you. but for instance, at least for my year, Texas tech has more alumns than any one ivy league school
