Now, to the matter at hand. A tag has been placed on Tandy morgan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. =David(talk)(contribs) 08:09, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tandy morgan

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I saw your stub on Tandy morgan, and that it was set up for speedy deletion. I am not sure whether it qualifies or not. Since the band involves some pretty recognized musicians, one should think that this band and their releases recieved some media attention? Can you provide any examples of this? If you can, the article will be kept.

Another thing, you use the internal links wrong. Do not use the "#REDIRECT" for internal links. That is for redirect pages; pages that immedeately redirect to a different article. These are often used for alternative spellings of article titles, for band members that are not notable outside the band, etc. (If it turns out that your article is not notable enough to be kept, it could be made into a redirect to ELO, where a small mention of the existence of Tandy Morgan be made. To make internal links, simply put the title of the article within double brackets thusly; [[Electric light orchestra]] This will appear as Electric light orchestra in the article. It can be a good idea to use the "Show preview" button, to check that the article appears as you would like it to. Good luck with your article, and happy editing. Dr bab 08:36, 26 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
