Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Brown Enhanced Automatic Rifle without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! —C.Fred (talk) 22:51, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Brown Enhanced Automatic Rifle, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 22:56, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The information was removed because it is not accurate. There is no Design Flaw on the firearm.Portal123 (talk) 23:02, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Based on which sources do you make that claim? We can't evaluate it without your sources that say there is no flaw. —C.Fred (talk) 23:03, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The source is the inventor, Michael J. Brown. Furthermore, the referenced source does not mention the words "Design Flaw". That is why it is being removed. It is not accurate. Portal123 (talk) 23:07, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to Brown Enhanced Automatic Rifle with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Ducknish (talk) 23:23, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

The editing is not disruptive. What is disruptive is the fact that an inaccuracy is referenced in the material. Who made the arbitrary decision to call it a Design Flaw? Portal123 (talk) 23:25, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Still waiting on an answer from both of you. Portal123 (talk) 23:37, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'm checking on that. However, the inventor of the weapon is not a reliable source for the claim that the weapon has no flaw. See guidance on primary sources, including the limited circumstances where an individual is a valid reference for himself, his company, or his product. —C.Fred (talk) 23:45, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
And as for the source, let's see: "which would seem to offer superior ergonomics to the traditional rear charging handle setup, except for one caveat" … "If you like to stick your thumb-activated tactical white light on the left side of the rail where he likes it, then the Adcor GPR’s forward charging handle may not be for you" … "It’s perhaps not optimal, ergonomically, but it’s still pretty fast and easy." I'd say the source supports the claim of a problem in the design. Whether that's a flaw or a criticism is something that could best be hashed out at Talk:Brown Enhanced Automatic Rifle, where more editors will see the discussion. —C.Fred (talk) 23:49, 20 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
