recordings

edit

Hello Poromene, from en.wiktionary. I doubt that this message will ever reach you or interest you, but here it is:
I found your 2008 File:Ellada.ogg at commons Cat:Greek pronunciation. Are there more recordings?
If this great barytone voice is YOUR voice, could you record more? If you are bored to write descriptions such as this, I can edit, with your permission and at your command. Sarri.greek at en.wiktionary (talk) 2018.08.02. UTC 18:46
PS If you do, could you leave ample space after the end of the word? VLC cuts off last syllables.

-- Hey User:Sarri.greek! That is, indeed, my voice. Unfortunately, I don't really know how Wikipedia works (and I'm not sure I wrote this properly enough that you'll get a notification), so I can't do the descriptions, but if you want to send me a list of words, I can spend an evening recording the pronunciations. You can find my contact details on my site.--Poromenos (talk) 23:42, 5 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Sir User:Poromenos: your time is precious, so, the choice has to be meticulous: Of course, your choices will prevail. I shall try to think of greek words that are well known (internationally).
1. The 'descriptions' are done at Commons Upload Wizard (you can write ONE as your signature-pattern, and with your permission, I can edit all the rest of the words).
2. perhaps some trial-recs before uploading at commonsGrePronunc?
I am thrilled that you have answered. Thank you. I shall contact you at your indicated address. Sarri.greek (talk) 00:10, 6 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
