Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Ok, as I understand it (and correct me if I'm wrong), what was uploaded was a low-res magazine cover for illustrative purposes on the article about the magazine? That should be fine (sometimes our fair use policing gets a bit overexcited).

Just upload the image again and template it as

This image is of a magazine cover, and the copyright for it is most likely held by either the publisher of the magazine or the individual contributors who worked on the cover depicted. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images of magazine covers

to illustrate the publication of the issue of the magazine in question
with the publication name either visible on the image itself or written in the image description above,

on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content for more information.

To the uploader:

Please add a detailed non-free use rationale for each article the image is used in, which must also declare compliance with the other parts of the non-free content criteria, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.
For example non-free use rationales, see Wikipedia:Use rationale examples.
This tag should only be used for magazine covers. Do not use it for other purposes.
Consider using Template:Non-free use rationale serial publication to start the rationale

Note: If the image depicts a person or persons on the cover, it is not acceptable to use the image in the article of the person or persons depicted on the cover, unless used to directly illustrate a point about the publication of the image. for now, explicitly identifying the source of the image, and the statements that it is used to identify the publication, along with a statement of the article that it is to be used in. Then promptly insert it into the relevant article so it isn't flagged as "orphaned non-free image". That should be enough. The matter of regular updating the cover would be more complicated and I'll need to investigate that. I suspect that would require regular updates of low-res properly GFDLed covers but I'm not sure. Proposed deletion of Yale Economic Review

The article Yale Economic Review has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Ephemeral magazine that seems to have disappeared completely (website is dead). No independent sources. Does not meet WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
