You seem somewhat confused? I made a factual accuracy change to the tense of a single sentence. This was NOT vandalism.

Wiki states he **is** a politician. A politician as defined by the Oxford Dictionary is "a person who is professionally involved in politics, especially as a holder of an elected office." Farage ceased to hold political office in British Politics in January 2020 when the UK ceased to have Members of the European Parliament. I therefore changed the statement to **was** a politician which is factually correct. His website nor His Twitter Page make any claims that he is a current politician.

Please REVERT the change back as the current status is gramatically incorrect to say that he IS a politician.

As per our MoS, the "is" refers to whether they're alive -- "was" implies he's dead. What you're looking for is the phrase "is a former politician...". However, Farage is still a politician as he is the leader of an active political party, regardless of whether he holds office. However, as this was clearly a good faith change, I'll remove the above warning. — Czello 11:25, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
