Reference lists

edit

Since you are new, I just wanted to briefly explain reference sections of articles. They are synonymous with a "works cited" page, and are often used in conjunction with abbreviated footnotes, so that the full reference isn't repeated over and over in the footnotes. It is against our style manual to add a work to a reference list which ISN'T actually being used as a reference in the article. Therefore, if you add something to the reference list, you need to make sure it is being cited directly by our article text. If you just want to add a list of important books that we aren't currently citing, then you can create a "further reading" section. WP:FOOTERS explains our manual of style in regards to the bottom sections of articles. I hope this helps.

I also wanted to welcome you and encourage you to contribute your knowledge and sources to our articles. I appreciate that you are adding sources along with your contributions, and want to tell you to keep up the good work! If you have any questions or concerns, or need any help I'd be glad to assist where I can, or point you in the right direction. Good luck!-Andrew c [talk] 13:19, 22 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dominican Biblical Institute

edit

The article Dominican Biblical Institute has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable establishment, now closed. Fails WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
