License tagging for Image:Riboflavin penicillamine.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Riboflavin penicillamine.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 23:08, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

In view of your contributions to the Asperger syndrome article, would you please comment at this AfD (if you have not already done so). I'm looking to close that AfD, but it seems to need more comment. Thanks. -- Jreferee T/C 17:22, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Survey request edit

Hi, Poindexter Propellerhead I need your help. I am working on a research project at Boston College, studying creation of medical information on Wikipedia. You are being contacted because you have been identified as an important contributor to one or more articles.

Would you will be willing to answer a few questions about your experience? We've done considerable background research, but we would also like to gather the insight of the actual editors. Details about the project can be found at the user page of the project leader, geraldckane. Survey questions can be found at geraldckane/medsurvey. Your privacy and confidentiality will be strictly protected!

The questions should only take a few minutes. I hope you will be willing to complete the survey, as we do value your insight. Please do not hesitate to contact me or Professor Kane if you have any questions. Thank You, BCproject (talk) 16:53, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma edit

Proposed deletion of The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Onopearls (t/c) 02:41, 17 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for merging those articles, a more complete article was long overdue. Poindexter Propellerhead (talk) 20:17, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Heh, I should have known that as soon as my article was deleted, someone would redirect the other one away from the name "Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma." Revisionist ownership of articles here will never cease, will it? Poindexter Propellerhead (talk) 18:05, 5 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. January 2016 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to January 28 may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "[]"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • *[[2016]] – [[Signe Toly Anderson]], American singer ([Jefferson Airplane]], (b. 1941)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 20:52, 31 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

On not editing anymore edit

For years I've been using VPNs for all of my Internet access, because I don't care to have my ISP sell my browsing history. I was often forced to log in here if I wanted to edit, but at least I could. Now I can't edit anything but this page, regardless of being logged in. In the post-Snowden era, this impresses me as an incredibly effective way to drive away editors. It's sure working on me. Poindexter Propellerhead (talk) 20:36, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you should visit once more... Asperger image? edit

related to Asperger??

Hi Poindexter, you uploaded this image, which more than one Wikipedia uses to illustrate Asperger autism. In the current image description, however, Asperger is not mentioned at all. In the upload text, however, it was. Soo... Could you please clarify if this image is related to Asperger (esp. if the person shown is verified to be diagnosed and has given consent to be depicted as such)? Else I would delete the image in Asperger-related articles or at least change the image descriptions there. Thank you very much, 2A02:908:1579:6420:2968:3B78:83E5:4553 (talk) 21:13, 1 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
