Hi. Regarding your post here, putting a link in ref tags will not show up as a footnote on the page if the page doesn't have a {{reflist}} template at the bottom, like articles do. For this reason, it is better to format urls on talk pages without ref tags. Putting one bracket on either side of the link will turn it into a usable link. Thanks.
