Three-Handed Chess: fen and ideas

edit

Hello,

I'm interested in your Three-Handed Chess variant.

You probably already know this, but just in case, the fen of the initial position is:

rnp2PNR/kbp2PBK/qbp2PBQ/npp2PPN/rp4PR/3PP3/1PPBBPP1/1RNQKNR1 w - - 0 1

Unfortunately, that fen can't be entered in to some chess programs (like SCID), though others are fine with it (the LaTeX skak package had no problems).

I was also interested in hearing whether you've thought up of any improvements to the game that would overcome the imbalance caused by 1.b3 Ra2 ... 2.Bxb4 and the subsequent loss of Black's rook (per Pgallert's comments in the AfD on your article[1]) -- noosphere 09:35, 18 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
