Hi! I live in Northern California. Wikipedia is great. I wish I could do it all day long and show off my superior intellect. Oh well. Gotta pay the rent... Time to make the donuts. -- PinkCake 01:33, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Suggestions

edit

It's great to see all the work you've done to convert links to references/footnotes on the Thomas M. Davis article. Two suggestions:

  • Use the edit summary every time: Help:Edit summary - other editors really appreciate it. Even something as brief as "more", after you've explained a bit in the edit summary of an initial edit, is helpful.
  • When you create a footnote/reference, make the cite complete. Specifically, the publication and date are almost as useful as the article title; adding the author, if one is given, also adds credibility.

And, of course - welcome to wikipedia! John Broughton 22:33, 22 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the reminder. I admit that I am skimping on the conversion to refs. I will return and make the refs complete as I have time. -- PinkCake 01:35, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
