Deleting an article is a disruptive edit, which is vandalism. The replacement text consists of an opinion ("should" is the giveaway there) and original research, since no secondary source for the interpretation about the First Amendment is given. —C.Fred (talk) 02:16, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
I think raising public awareness is more important than concerns over how well Wikipedia looks. The text of the First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
