My thoughts on your departure reasoning edit
"Born again Christian" isn't exactly an NPOV category, is it? Who's to determine which Christians are "born-again" Christians and which Christians aren't? Everyone has their own opinion about "what Jesus would do", and two people who consider themselves equally religious may still have differing viewpoints on what a "true" believer of Jesus must believe in.
Let's take the issue of homosexuality, for example. Though I am a straight male, and consider myself a follower of Jesus Christ, I believe there's absolutely no call for someone to say, "God hates fags, and they're all going to hell." For that matter, I don't think there's any call to discriminate against *anybody* based on their choice of lifestyle, skin color, country of origin, native tongue, etc. And I understand that my viewpoint is not adhering to the Old Testament teaching that homosexuality is an abomination. And you know what? I don't care. Those verses simply don't jibe with the God I believe in; I think that God loves all of us and wouldn't want any group of people to be considered outcasts upon the earth.
But other Christians, who also call themselves true believers of Jesus, have the exact opposite viewpoint. Which of those viewpoints is correct? I don't know. But I know that I don't consider myself less of a Christian or less of a person because of what I believe in, and I doubt those who support the opposite viewpoint believe that *they're* less Christian because of their beliefs.
That's just one of many, many theological differences any two Christians can have with one another. To say that Person A is a "born-again Christian" because they believe in this and that and this, but Person B is not a born-again Christian because they have a differing viewpoint, is from your own point of view. It's not factual information, and therefore it has no business being in an encyclopedia.
I don't believe Wikipedia is anti-Christian or anti- *any* religion. I think it's an all-inclusive place where people of many different faiths can co-exist peacefully. I think you're not necessarily upset because Wikipedia is anti-Christian-- you're upset because Wikipedia is all-inclusive and therefore provides a voice to many different opinions. And if that's what's bugging you, then with all due respect you won't be missed much. You weren't appointed the judge of who's a born-again Christian and who isn't, and neither was I. ekedolphin 22:38, August 9, 2005 (UTC)
