Collin Balester

Not sure why you quick-failed it when it clearly does not meet the quick-fail criteria. I expected the reviewer to mention the lack of information on anything but his professional career, but that is solely because I could not find anything on his pre-professional career (he went pro after high school). I also take offense to you calling it a "big large mess of statistics and player information, lacking coherence or any MoS form or layout" when it clearly is not. I have written multiple GAs before, which have taken similar formats and not one reviewer before you has insulted an article like that. Next time, when you review an article for GA, try and be helpful with your criticism of it and also, when an article clearly does not meet the quick-fail criteria, don't quick-fail it.--Giants27(T|C) 04:54, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Nathan, keep a check on that REGiGUAZA user at Mimi's bio introducing bloated sentences and unnecessary sections, like the list of awards. Honestly, you're right. Every edit that is from a un-known editor must be heavily monitored. I will start re-formatting all the sources on the bio page, and begin a heavy copy-edit/remove puffery etc. I assure you though, I need help with the legacy section. You mentioned helping with that one before. I trust you know enough and will do your best to make one hell of a good one :) Maybe you can fix that section in a sandbox? We are delving too much into the singles. Ideally it should be about the albums as they would be the main musical bodies, plus the lede needs correction. Instead of summarizing, it is going into intricate details. I will try to resize it. Btw, don't try to reference Shapiro for the relationships. He confessed that it was taken from tabloids mainly. Yes, I want this to be a fair and neutral article, without all the UNDUE "Carey's the best" crap in it. Oh, and regarding the samples, yeah, I'll add one for the "Fantasy" Remix since I talk about its "legacy" here. Its looking good so far, but again, we are going into too much detail. The page is exceeding 192KB now, including the image imprints. We need to bring it drastically down to 120-130KB. When you add content, thumbs rule should be to go over her major musical contribution. Like you talk about the album and the singles released, but not all singles were impactful right? So those singles that were impactful (like VOL) should be discussed in the Influence and Legacy sections. Doesn't make sense to have them in the bio. A reader would want to move forward as to know what happened next, not get bogged down with details. (This is the case of the MJ bio, you read it once, you will snooze) This applies to the Early life section also. Much of what Patricia did doesn't concerm Mimi now in anyway. She herself said in countless interviews that she has left that far behind. She never felt impacted enough that it showed in her work, until issues with Mottola. We need to introduce their struggles and join them to the release of Mariah Carey smoothly. At present its divulging too much into the racial stuff, which actually is a WP:BLP violation, pro and con both included. Also, we cannot use too many non-free samples. I believe "Vision of Love", "All I Want For Christmas is You" and "We Belong Together" are the ones which would pass NFCC, simply for their impact. This applies to images also, albeit free ones too. You do the addition, I will check the free flowing of the prose and cut down where its delving away from the timeline. I saw that yesterday :P Muscular Mimi :D Yes, it is great to see her happy unlike 2001. Although I was just 8 back then and didn't know about MC (lol), I have seen a lot of interviews and articles. I'd love to see her like this or even this. She has to work out a lot and of course do some cosmetic surgery (IMO). I know she's very nice and down to earth and that's what made me fall in love with her in the first place. Have I said that I love 1999-2003 Mimi a lot (appearance.
