Some policies
editRegards your edit to Stress (medicine), please note our policies on reliable sources and no original research. Also note WP:NEO, which states that we should avoid neologisms - geopathic stress appears to be such a neologism, and WP:TONE, which states we should adopt a specific tone, one which generally doesn't include octopi :) Sections should not be excessively capitalized per WP:CAPS, and 'things that are impossible to diagnose and treat' are generally red flags that the topic at hand might be a fringe topic of dubious inclusion on wikipedia. The stance taken on wikipedia towards topics, particularly medical topics, is a scientific mainstream one, which tries not to place undue weight on topics that are not recognized by mainstream science. - Also note that disambiguation pages like stress have a specific purpose, and are not 'catch all' pages or places to put information about specific topics. They're so people can navigate through related terms to find the page they are looking for. WLU 18:44, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Geopathology
editA proposed deletion template has been added to the article Geopathology, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. WLU 18:50, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
This is what you say now: Not mainstream, ... etc.
editPlease note the medics also scratched Dr. Semmelweiss of the roll in Austria, for telling the doctors in the hospital to wash their hands when switching treatments from one patoent to the next, to reduce cross-infections. What has happened now? Now one gets sacked for NOT washing your hands. Just go ahead WIPE it clean amd don't forget to delete my name and account! I would not waste more time to place info here. I'd rather carry on spending my already limited time enhancing my own website, where people appreciate my inputs. Cheers! Peter-ZA 22:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- That's completely irrelevant to the notability of the page, if you can't document it with reliable sources, this is not the venue for that entry. If you'd like to delete your account (I don't know if it's possible or not), use the {{helpme}} tag to attract the attention of an admin and they will try to help you. Just type the raw characters as you see them in a new section of your talk page. WLU 01:58, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Your contributed article, List of bit rates (Summary over the years)
editHello, I notice that you recently created a new page, List of bit rates (Summary over the years). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - List of device bit rates. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of device bit rates - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 00:41, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Unstoppable-Copier
editA tag has been placed on Unstoppable-Copier, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. GregJackP (talk) 12:30, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
