Current TODO List
edit- General writing—currently needed for the landing page and every subpage.
- Minor formatting and other misc. stuff as well.
- Confirm Paid/preload and COI/preload work OK with visual editor.
- If possible, just disable visual editor through the buttons, but I'm not sure if that's an option.
- Done Get a proper editintro for both the Paid and COI buttons.
- Decide on whether using a template or just writing the disclosure manually should be recommended.
- Check if {{paid}} is enough for disclosure—pretty sure the client is also needed or something.
- May want separate paths for when a paid editor needs to disclose both employer and client? Bleh.
- And what's the "best" place to put the disclosure? Right now it's just the userpage (sandbox, technically).
- Have a proper handling for IP users. (If I recall correctly, there's an IP/account-only CSS class.)
- Add an explanatory page/segment for "I'm not sure if I'm being paid to edit" that explains the weirder areas like being an intern.
Page index
editCurrent outline as I'm starting to lose track of all the subpages:
- Disclosure wizard: Needs to clearly specify what being "paid to edit" is. Maybe also a general disclaimer regarding ToS and possible legal implications UPE can bring?
- .../COI
- .../Paid
- .../Next steps: Needs a more through summary with links to the various COI guides (like WP:PSCOI).
Currently the main thing is probably just going to be general prose for each page. Perryprog (talk) 20:00, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
