Edits to exponential function

I reverted your edits to the article about the exponential function because you were sticking in a bunch of mathematics in an inappropriate place. The section was about the formal definition and the ones given there are the main ones. More are given at Characterizations of the exponential function which is the main article on that topic. Proofs are not normally put into Wikipedia unless they are very short and explain something or the proof itself is notable. The references are there for people to look up proofs in. The policy WP:NOT#Wikipedia is not a manual, guidebook, textbook, or scientific journal says more about that. Dmcq (talk) 17:47, 19 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
