AfD nomination of Stay (SafetySuit song)

edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Stay (SafetySuit song). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stay (SafetySuit song). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:31, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

file uploading

edit

If you look at the left part of the screen, there's an "upload file" link in the toolbox. Remember that you can't just upload any images you find on the web: if it's an album cover or a single cover, you can upload that (but be careful with the licensing). If you actually took the picture with your own camera, or have written permission from the person that did, you can upload that, too. If you download a picture from the web and then upload it, that's a copyright violation, and you can get blocked for that.—Kww(talk) 03:05, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Feel free to upload it then. The tool will give you instructions. Just make sure it's an official cover (not fan-art from a blog), and that the image size is somewhere between 200x200 and 300x300. Write down the URL that you downloaded it from in the first place, because you will get asked for that. It's bedtime for me, so I won't answer again for about nine hours.—Kww(talk) 03:19, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:20, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Life Left to Go

edit

To upload this album cover, you need to click Wikipedia:Upload/Non-free album cover, choose the appropriate option, then fill in the form at the bottom of the page. Your request at Wikipedia talk:Upload/Uploadtext/en-nonfree-albumcover was placed in the wrong location and won't be dealt with. Stifle (talk) 17:55, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Jake t. austin 1980700.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Jake t. austin 1980700.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Open Arms (Gary Go song)

edit

A tag has been placed on Open Arms (Gary Go song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Orphaned non-free image (File:Gary-go-open-arms.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Gary-go-open-arms.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 21:13, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:New PLJ logo.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:New PLJ logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
