Blil Leeb DOB

edit

According to all the sources I have seen on the net (including Mindphaser 1) Bill Leeb's DOB is 1966, not 56. So unless you have a reliable source that states otherwise, please stop changing it. Avador 17:00, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Again I am going to tell you, if you can't provide a source for this, please stop changing the year of birth, as it is considered vandalism. Avador 15:57, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bill and I were classmates at Mount Elizabeth Secondary School in Kitimat. He graduated Canadian grade 12 in 1974. All graduates from that class turned 18 that year. Do the math. It's common for people in the entertainment industry to post misinformation about their age.

If that is true, then you provide a citation for it, as all sources currently state the contrary. Avador 05:35, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
If you come to my house, I have five school annuals from 1969 to 1974. This is an excellent example of do not believe everything you read online. Actually the next time I bump into Bill at Starbucks near Granville Island, I'll have to mention this web site to him.
What I am saying is that you need to provide an 'reliable source' on this matter, because what you are trying to add is considered original research. In other words, you need to find a website (that can be considered credible), because, as you've already stated, anyone can put a claim online, especially at a website which allows anonymous editing like this. Currently, all of Leeb's fan sites say that his year of birth is 1966, and while that may or may not be true, it is the the only sources which seem to give any answers to the matter. If you know that this is not true, as you've seemed to have indicated, then you need to take the matter up with the webmasters of those sites (I recommend you start with Mindphaser). It may very well be that Leeb's DOB is 56, and that this edit war we've been doing back and forth has been over nothing, but if that is true, then you to find a proof of this, as unverified claims are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Would you consider Mr. Leeb a reliable source?

If Mr. Leeb were to, say come onto this site, and get an account, and well, somehow show that it really was him, and not an impostor, I suppose it would be ok. (I don't think anyone would have a problem with him just making an account, but hell, some people on here are far more paranoid then I am). There are several notable people who have account here. It should be noted though, that editing an article about oneself if generally frowned upon by most people here. But still think that, as I stated above, Bill would probably do much better to contact his fans on Mindphaser, rather then doing it here. Avador 03:57, 17 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'll be seeing him over Christmas. I'll remind him not to count on his Canada Pension checks in 2021, like I will.
