Speedy deletion nomination of Wood Mackenzie Limited

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wood Mackenzie Limited, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Wood Mackenzie Company Profile

edit

First of all we need to prove WP:NOTABILITY, is this your company? [1] If it is then I can help you. This is because there are a lot of WP:RS which discuss your company. [2] Post here if the first link is to your company and I will create the article for you :o) Darkness Shines (talk) 16:49, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello

Yes, those links are to my company website and google seearch results showing the company.

Thanks Paul.rowllings (talk) 17:11, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Excellent, I shall create your article later today. I shall post here once it is in mainspace. Darkness Shines (talk) 13:42, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Great. Thanks. Have you still got the wording I posted for the article, or would you like me to re-send it? Paul.rowllings (talk) 13:45, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

No don't bother, it will be easier to work from scratch. Darkness Shines (talk) 13:58, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hie, read WP:INDENT ;o) I have begun your article, it is currently in userspace. [3] Darkness Shines (talk) 20:13, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Done Wood Mackenzie I will continue to add to it over the next few days, this will cost you one pint, a packet of fags and some cheese and onion crisps :o) Darkness Shines (talk) 21:44, 4 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I've made a few suggested edits to the 1st section. Sir George Matthewson is no longer our chairman, and we have added coal and metals mining analysis to our energy business, through a few acquisitions over the past few years. I also added a leadership section. Hope these are OK. Also, would you be happy if I suggested some amends to the history section? Feel free to add a few more pints and packets crisps to my bill. Thanks. Paul.rowllings (talk) 09:02, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Thanks for your guidance. I've had a read through the information and feel the edits I've suggested conform to the spirit of wikipedia, and do not promote the company or its products. Paul.rowllings (talk) 16:00, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
