Proposed deletion of Meg Wolff

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Meg Wolff, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No assertion of Notability and no Sources provided

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. I've gone in and edited a bunch of stuff to tone down any sense of this being an ad. Could you please take a look and review in hopes that the warnings on the page can be REMOVED? Thanks... Patty

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 19:39, 26 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Meg Wolff

I have added back the {{Nofootnotes}} tag as the article does not have in-text citations. Please take a look at WP:CITE. The tag is there to alert other editors to the issue. – ukexpat (talk) 16:21, 29 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I don't understand why they are needed. Why are the citations "required?" I'd rather keep it simple and not use them, please. Pattymccarthy (talk) 00:14, 30 November 2008 (UTC)PattyReply
They are required because it makes it much easier to see which reference supports which statement in the text. Without them, someone wanting to verify a particular statement has to read all of them. Read almost any article on WP and you will see that they are used pretty extensively. – ukexpat (talk) 04:07, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Of course, I have more questions! I do understand the concept of citations, but I don't understand the need for a citation on the part of the page at Meg Wolff that someone is saying it is needed. How am I supposed to CITE that she got better? I mean, she's alive and well today and her Web site and blog are current and etc... I don't know HOW to cite it, I guess. Thanks for any suggestions.
