AfD nomination of Nanavira Thera Dhamma Page edit

I have nominated Nanavira Thera Dhamma Page, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nanavira Thera Dhamma Page. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Path3 (talk) 23:01, 15 February 2009 (UTC)Thanks for notification. But why http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Access_to_Insight was accepted. I believe Nanavira Thera Dhamma Page is the same kind of website.Reply

Access to Insight is mentioned in several third party sources- that is, people have written about the site as part of the history of the development of Buddhism in the West, or Buddhism on the internet. That establishes it as a notable site by itself. If comparable sources for the Nanavira Thera Dhamma page existed, then that page would stand on its own; however, simply because Nanavira Thera is a notable person doesn't mean every project or publication associated with him is appropriate for an article. People tend to be picky about the 3rd party notability standard for websites, because writing articles on Wikipedia about websites naturally lends itself to abuse by people trying to promote a particular website. As an aside, you shouldn't edit an AfD page after the discussion has been closed; if you have a question, it's a better idea to contact the closing admin (User:Ron Ritzman in this case). --Clay Collier (talk) 03:17, 16 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Template Issue edit

There seems to be a problem with the template that you created and are tagging various articles about Buddhist individuals with; it's creating a 'noinclude' tag at the top of every page that it is included on. Also, how is this template different from the existing Buddhist biography template that is already in use? As far as I can tell, it is a copy and paste of that template with the color of one box changed. --Clay Collier (talk) 23:49, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I am reverting this to the Buddhist biography infobox. Rich Farmbrough, 04:24, 20 July 2009 (UTC).Reply

April 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to File:CtP cover2.jpg has been reverted, as it appears to have removed content from the page without explanation. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you.
