License tagging for Image:Gisela Dulko-Hertogenbosch 2007.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Gisela Dulko-Hertogenbosch 2007.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 14:09, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Tennis photos edit

Hi,

I noticed that you added links to photos galleries for several tennis players. I'd first congratulate you for the nice photography but it seems that pasting links to personal galleries of individual tournaments could border on self-publicity.

Have you thought about posting some of them under Creative Commons or another free license directly on Wikipedia or Commons ? Some articles would greatly benefit from good pictures of yours under a free license.--GrAfFiTTalk Contribs 17:15, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Image:Camille Pin - Stockholm1.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on Image:Camille Pin - Stockholm1.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Camille Pin - Stockholm1.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Sdrtirs (talk) 17:32, 10 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tennis images edit

Is there any reason I should not just delete all of the images of tennis players you have uploaded now? They are highly professional, appear to have come from a variety of sources and at least one of them can be found elsewhere on the Internet. Unless you're a press photographer, it seems to me highly unlikely that they are your own work. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and a failure to do the same seriously damages the encyclopedia, and will result in you being blocked from editing. Please reply on my talk page. J Milburn (talk) 15:50, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I've just seen your comment at this location. There is an easy way for you to verify this, and if you could do that, it would be great- that would remove any suspicion about your images. This is your website, is that correct? You link to it on your profile. J Milburn (talk) 15:59, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
There's an even easier way- could you update your profile to say that you are Pascalre on the English Wikipedia? Then there will be no problems. J Milburn (talk) 16:02, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Anna Chakvetadze - Wiki.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Anna Chakvetadze - Wiki.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay.
