IRC cloak request

I am FadedSoul on freenode and I would like the cloak wikimedia/sean-whitton. Thanks. --FadedSoul (talk) 23:21, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, thanks for the worthless advice because you ppl delete articles so quickly that there isn't any time to add {holdon} , the article was gone in 10 seconds. So maybe next time you should learn to restrain yourself for a little while or don't give worthless advice.

2008

Thanks; and all the best for the new year :) Cheers! Dfrg_msc 07:16, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Boom!

Hello

Sorry i didn't know that, thanks for the advice! it must really get confusing when you have only 3 messages to determine their order... oh sorry, i guess it'll be 4 messages now —Preceding unsigned comment added by Number631 (talkcontribs) 17:52, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Leaving?

Hey there, I was a little curious about this diff, where you said that you were leaving the project, then removed it, saying that it was a hack. Was your account compromised or something? GlassCobra 01:24, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay, well I admit that I'm not the most technologically adapt, especially when it comes to IRC, so I can't really help with anything involving that. However, what did you mean with the whole "hack" thing? GlassCobra 03:50, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, my neighbor, wich i found out, had setup a pirate DNS server on his network and hijacked my wifi signal. He must have gotten the login string to Wikipedia and thus accessing my username & password. Don't worry, i changed them all--Party (talk) 17:32, 7 January 2008 (UTC)--Party (talk) 17:32, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

User:Icefirewater

I already placed a warning on this users page. Why did you go and put an additional warning? Dustihowe  Talk  18:13, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

I didnt realize that the user created a page. I thought that you were refering to the script that the user placed on his userpage. Sorry....You did tag the page for deletion didn't you? Dustihowe  Talk  18:17, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I did ineed tag his attack pages ... Don't worry, i'll report anyways... :) --Party (talk) 18:18, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

My Userpage correction

Hi there, thanks for correcting the french mistakes on my userpage! or should I say :Merci pour corriger les erreurs sur ma page.Alors, Votre langue maternelle est le française ou vous l'avez étudié ?.Λua∫Wise (talk) 18:07, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

By the way, i think there is something wrong with your status bot, it says your offline, although, i think, at this moment you are online, right?Λua∫Wise (talk) 18:11, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, the status bot is kinda stupid as it depends on my latest edits on the IRC feed of #en.wikipedia on Mediawiki. It jsut gets a like 3 to 5 edits per minute. --Party (talk) 18:13, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

David ospena

It is customary to remove the text of an attack page so that the user cannot reference others to it and be successful with his/her attack even while the deletion tag sits there. Just an FYI. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 18:33, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Salting request

Hi, the user has been blocked for two days so salting probably isn't needed. But I'll keep an eye out on the article just in case. Thanks. Spellcast (talk) 18:39, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Tramzone6.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Tramzone6.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 23:01, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Shannon Holmes

FYI, you did the Shannon Holmes moved from Shannon holmes, but something went wrong cause now there are 2 diff copies of the article at each name. MBisanz talk 02:41, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I didn't notice! Something prolly went fucked during the move process... --Party (talk) 15:21, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Image deletions use the "ifd" tag, then follow the directions on the tag. Don't use AfD for those. Corvus cornixtalk 23:47, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

cheers mate! Noted for next time :) --Party (talk) 23:48, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Good! Well done. :) Is it better than Twinkle? GlassCobra 16:39, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Victoria Bridge

Do you have pictures of the narrow passageways at both ends of Victoria Bridge? I think those would be great in the article about that bridge, to explain why trucks can't get on it. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 23:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry, i don't, but i do know for a fact that on the bridge, there IS a bus service, it's the #55 from Saint-Lambert wich i use daily to go to school. I'M going to put information on it... --Party (talk) 02:38, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Stormlove.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Stormlove.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Party (talk) 18:42, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi "Party". It's Vincent Powell (the person who was tying to edit the "Water" article. The article was flagged 'citation needed', and I was trying to provide the only ones that I could find that fit the text. I don't understand why you removed the citations, or why you didn't see that they were requested, and that they were correct. I have no problem with your being so quick, but someone else will later have to provide a citation. --66.100.78.21 (talk) 21:00, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

I just checked and saw that that you put the edit back in. Thanks, both for being quick and for being reasonable. The Wikipedia needs many like you. -vincent--66.100.78.21 (talk) 22:47, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Wrong move

I got a speedy deletion warning from you for a page I moved because of improper capitalization. I believe this is a bug with Twinkle, as this seems to happens to me on a regular basis. I think you should report it to the maker of Twinkle. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 23:42, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your help

Thanks for the revert on the Food science article. I really appreciate it. Chris (talk) 14:47, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

WP:DEFCON

Hi there. A quick note: please avoid setting the defcon to level 1 unless absolutely necessary. The equivalent in actual defcon (as is interpreted by most admins/patrollers) implies that that level is equal to a nation launching nuclear warheads. In wiki terms, it should only be used if there is massive disruption across multiple pages, which very rarely happens. Otherwise, we risk desensitizing people to the severity of level 1. Cheers. --slakrtalk / 21:59, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi!

I've had the same problem in the past with the wiki signing me out. Thank you so much. Days like this make me sorry I gave back the keys to the janitor's closet.  :) Bless you, O Admin. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:49, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Many thanks. Looks as if some other editors have caught on the the fact that this guy is sockpuppeteering. Off to play whack-a-mole with the band vanity users. I wish that posting a band vanity article equalled an automatic short-term block. For as long as this site's been up, you think the garage band denizens would have caught on. We persist. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:41, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
