From looking at your recent edits, you probably don't need the above references, but figured they're useful as a start for a talk page. Normally, edits from an account with a red-linked talk page and red-linked user page get higher scrutiny, as they are almost certainly new accounts. Category alphabetization

Hi Papyrus-winged ninja Akil, I noticed that you had recently tried to alphabetize a number of articles by changing the target of their category linkage to "licensed, XYZ" (for example you changed "Popeye 2" to "licensed, Popeye 2". I'm not sure if you're aware but the effect of this is to locate all of the "licensed, XYZ" games under the letter "L" in the main category ("Game Boy platform games"). So we'd see something like:

Aardvark, Amsterdam Armadillo

B

Basket, Bedroom, Bismuth

C

Candlestick, Candy cane, Caramel

...

L

Asterix (1993 video game), Laughter, Licorice, Locomotive, Popeye 2, Yogi Bear's Gold Rush

I assume that's not what you intended so I've reverted your changed. If you need help with how to properly categorize or alphabetize articles, I'd suggest asking at WP:HELPDESK. -Thibbs (talk) 10:32, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

• One other thing: Please be more careful about your edit summaries. Comments like this are unhelpful because they don't accurately reflect the nature of the edit you've made. Only say something like "typo fixed" if you are truly fixing a typo. -Thibbs (talk) 10:34, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

I've noticed a similar problem with a number of mammal articles. Some of the changes are reasonable, so I've left those alone, but I've reverted those that create problems with the categorisation. Anaxial (talk) 19:28, 11 April 2014 (UTC)
