Hello, PakiboyCDN, Welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope you like working here and want to continue. If you need help on how to name new articles, look at the Guide to Layout, and for help on formatting the pages visit the Manual of Style. If you need general help, look at Help and the FAQ, and if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and the Policy Library. Also, don't forget to visit the Community Portal — and if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my New-Users' Talk Page.

English

edit

Hello. When you want to insert the "English" title of a film (or anything else) in Wikipedia, please link to the article English language, since English is not an article about the language. To do this, type [[English language|English]], and the readers will just see the word "English" but clicking on the link will take them to the language article. Thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia! --Russ (talk) 01:55, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kate Winslet

edit

What on earth made you change the infobox to suggest she was no longer active? First time I had heard that she had retired. Please don't make random edits if it means someone has to go round after you fixing the stuff you did. Spartaz Humbug! 16:35, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actors' Infoboxes

edit

I just reverted all of your additions to actors' infoboxes. What exactly are you basing the dates on? In many cases you have been describing active actors as no longer active. Why are you doing this? --Spartaz Humbug! 16:48, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I reverted you because so many of your additions were clearly incorrect. Many (if not all) of those actors you indicated were no longer active are. That's why. I repeat my questions. What did you base your edits on and why did you do this. --Spartaz Humbug! 18:02, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Your response makes no sense whatsoever. Please come back to me when you want to be more serious. --Spartaz Humbug! 18:10, 8 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Languages

edit

I don't understand why you thought it was necessary (or even a good idea) to change Gudgudee to link to English instead of English language. If you click on the links, you will see that one of these is indeed an article about a language, and the other isn't. Since the link appears next to the English translation of the title, the article about the language did seem like the most appopriate link. --Russ (talk) 22:13, 30 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets

edit

A tag has been placed on Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bballoakie 00:52, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Insaan

edit

A tag has been placed on Insaan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. iridescenti (talk to me!) 20:39, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Achanak.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Achanak.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 20:28, 23 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:ChalmerebhaiCD.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:ChalmerebhaiCD.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG 09:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:Super paki.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading Image:Super paki.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:18, 22 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Sajjad Ali 1980 singles

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Sajjad Ali 1980 singles, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

notability is not established

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
