Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to John Cena, even if your ultimate intention is to fix them. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. LessThanClippers 19:51, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah...and?

edit
Just your average, inexperienced Wiki user, focusing mainly on Heavy Metal articles.

If that's the case why did you dick around on my page? I already responded to your ignorant comment on my page and I wasn't even going to talk on your page at all, but I just had to check out some of your contribs after seeing your silly comment on my page (which you forgot to sign). So, what does a user who has made exactly 289 edits (at this time) have to warn me about? Apparently you don't know how wikipedia works. Anyways, I could go on, but what's the point? Machine Head is metalcore. Period. I can provide sources to back it up as well. Might I remind you to read WP:CAP at this time and to also provide edit summaries for your edits. As I looked up how many edits you had I couldn't help but notice that you do not provide edit summaries for about 99% of your edits. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 18:10, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh, please. The people who watch A Headbanger's Journey or w/e think the New Wave of American Heavy Metal is real and exists (and is a subgenre) which is, of course, total inane crap. I've never even watched it. And I don't care to. The only thing I ever saw of it was a few sections from it on black metal that a friend made me watch. Yeah, because I doubt I need a source. No one cares and everyone mostly agrees that Machine Head has elements of metalcore in their music. I could find a source, though, if I needed to. And how am I full of shit? Watch that WP:CIVIL there now. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 19:41, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, but it doesn't matter what you or I say or think. It only matters what the sources say. That's the wikipedia way. Even if it sucks sometimes. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 19:59, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

....You're right. I don't think either of us really care about this. I'm not even a fan of Machine Head. I personally don't like anything nu metal, groove metal or metalcore. I'm a fan of "real" metal. Yeah, AMG can be a bit retarded but I know I can source Machine Head being metalcore. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 20:19, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I suppose groove metal is real metal, though a newer style of metal. I still detest it, though. I like many genres, as well but mostly older stuff. Jazz, blues, classic rock, soul, funk, classical, folk, metal (many styles; black, thrash, folk, Viking, doom, death, speed, power, etc. though mostly older), some electronica, and other things. Most recently I've become interested in a few nerdcore hip hop artists. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 20:43, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Paradise Belongs to You

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Paradise Belongs to You, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/saturnus/paradisebelongstoyou.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 21:16, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dredg

edit

As a name, it is capitalised. We follow correct English formatting around here. Just because it wasn't changed before, doesn't make it right. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums#Capitalization.

In titles of songs, albums, and band names in the English language, the project standard is to capitalize: The first word and last word in the title.

(emphasis added) Regards Nouse4aname (talk) 09:11, 12 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please also see Wikipedia:Naming_conventions#Album_and_song_titles_and_band_names. As stated at the top of the page, this is a policy, not a guideline. Remember, we are under no obligation to preserve the stylistic preferences of bands or organisations regarding their names. We are however under an obligation to use correct English. Civility

edit

I was perfectly within my rights to change the genre described on 3's page, as there were no citations there. Thank you for adding citations supporting the claim for them to be a prog-rock band. That said, you may wish to review WP:CIVIL and/or WP:AGF and refrain from making comments such as "remove the genre again at your own risk". Threatening other editors however vaguely isn't a good way to behave, particularly when there were no citations for the claim that I removed in the first place. Bolt Thrower

edit

Grindcore has been extensively sourced for this band; please see the talk page and do not remove it again. It should definitely be incorporated into the body of the text; I'll do that now (must have forgotten!). Blackmetalbaz (talk) 11:30, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

In all fairness, whilst there are about five references on the talk page, and no cites in the infobox, grindcore is in fact cited in the text (ref 3). Blackmetalbaz (talk) 21:36, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Gilbert Yvel's record

edit

Hey guy, i don't know how to do this well. There's a loss of Yvel missing from his page's record. The loss was against Ben Rothwell at ufc 115. If you can add this there i'd be very grateful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.17.217.43 (talk) 22:36, 30 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
