GPS coordinates

edit

Hi Petrus, congrats to your article creations! I think both Bagani, Namibia and Divundu would profit from the inclusion of information about the military convoy that drivers had to join when traveling from one village to another, I am sure as resident you remember this.

When copying the {{Infobox settlement}} template to create a new article about a village, please make sure you have the right GPS coordinates for the place--both Bagani and Divundu had the wrong coords due to copy and paste. I repaired that; in the future you could check with Google Maps to verify GPS coordinates. Cheers, Pgallert (talk) 08:12, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

PoN project page

Hi Petrus, the Wikipedia:School and university projects/Polytechnic of Namibia project page is not the place to write Wikipedia content. Please do that in your user space, see help here. I copied the text you submitted below, but please consider that a) original research is not suitable for Wikipedia, and that b) all expansions need to be backed up by Reliable sources. Cellular phones have made quite an impact on this country, but it is far from over. I have to admit that I enjoy the convenience and security of having my cell phone. Seeing those cell towers along the side of the interstate highway does not concern me as much as what is happening to our countryside. The government should make it mandatory for these companies to use each other’s towers instead of erecting individual towers for each company. Preserving the pristine mountaintops, trails, and local neighborhood charm has to be taken into consideration as much as possible to allow for the coexistence of the cell phone industry and the cell phone customer. Some hikers of these trails are now carrying cell phones with them for emergencies. Cell phones are providing an essential link to law enforcement and emergency rescues. Cell phone use in a vehicle along with common sense, can be problem free. People reporting accidents almost as they happen will save lives by providing the quick response necessary in a life or death situation. In conclusion, I think that although cell phones have their weak points, they are very usable and necessary. In my opinion this is a good way to communicate. Cell phones are here to stay and the advantages of cellular phones certainly outweigh the disadvantages to me * --Pius 09:29, 7 September 2011 (UTC).
