Yatagan response

Thanks for the compliments on the yatagan; I consider myself lucky to be its owner, despite some damage. Indeed there are many war museums on the Balkan that have fine examples of this weapon - I just added this to the artcile (and cleaned up some stuff too). I myself first saw it at the Shipka memorial in Bulgaria, and immediately fell in love with it. Good pictures from a vintage sword would be great, but I'm afraid most museums won't be keen on putting pictures of their collections in the public domain. It's a real pity there's so little information to be found about this sword type and its history.Weerlicht (talk) 11:36, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
