Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

close paraphrasing

edit

Hi Otolith2,

I've reviewed the article Neuroscience in Space that you wrote and I noticed that in a couple of cases you've copied sentences directly from a book. I've outlined this in more detail at Talk:Neuroscience in Space. It looks like you've put a lot of work into that article and I'd strongly advise you to read WP:Close paraphrasing carefully and to make sure that you're following these guidelines on the use of sources. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for your comments. I think I have corrected it. Otolith2 (talk) 13:31, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Artificial gravity do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. See wp:ELNO item 13: springer.com is not directly related to the subject of Artificial gravity. Cheers - DVdm (talk) 13:12, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

I added a reference to the book Artificial Gravity because the author refers to this book in his talk page but does not refer to it in the article.Otolith2 (talk) 13:30, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
See a similar remark about this at the bottom of my talk page in section User talk:DVdm#Booknotes There is a solution for this: integrate something in the article and mention the book in a proper reference <ref>{{cite book |...}}</ref>. Cheers - DVdm (talk) 13:35, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Meanwhile I notice you added a ref (here). Can you specify the exact page and the ISBN, then I'll cast it into a proper book citation. Cheers - DVdm (talk) 13:55, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Page 35, ISBN 978-0-387-70712-9. Thank you. Otolith2 (talk) 14:11, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Ok, see what I just did, although I used the other ISBN—follow the links to verify. Keep up the good work :-) - DVdm (talk) 14:13, 23 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Neuroscience in Space, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Red Planet (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
