Iris Robinson

edit

Please be aware that the reference says that it was confirmed that Iris was receiving treatment not "reported". If you like we could add this reference which states she was receiving "acute psychiatric treatment"? A question for you. Are you connected to user:Belfastsix or user:95.145.246.59? I find no evidence to confirm that Mrs Robinson was receiving psychiatric treatment in London or in Northern Ireland. The fact is that the public only have hear say of this via the media. Media reports (contrary to commonly held thought) do not always provide truth: it is after-all only a report taken from a press release or interview. Therefore "Reportedly" along with my other terms much more accurately describe the history of events as I know them. In answer to your question: I suggest the users to which you refer, understand this point and agree with my view.Orrinoconnor (talk) 01:45, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Please read the opening sentence of the BBC refer I give above: Iris Robinson has returned to Northern Ireland and is receiving medical treatment, it has been confirmed. It doesn't say reported, alleged or rumoured but confirmed. Please do not try and re-write history. Bjmullan (talk) 07:25, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Confirmed by who and to whom? It is only "Reported". Very little of the limited information provided to the public on the events surrounding Mrs Robinson's adventure has been forthright; rather to this day they remain cloaked in substantiated mystery. It doesn't say reported in the reference you gave: The reference is a report, "not fact" their-fore I still say "Reportedly". I am not trying to "rewrite history" Only to present the fact as the public see it!Orrinoconnor (talk) 00:22, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

By whom? By a spokesman for the First Minister, that's who. Bjmullan (talk) 07:34, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
