This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Helicon Books Gyan Reader, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.prlog.org/12024731-helicon-books-reader-the-first-andorid-reader-to-fully-support-all-epub3-features-and-more.html.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 12:40, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Helicon Books Gyan Reader
editHello Ori Idan,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Helicon Books Gyan Reader for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Travelbird (talk) 12:25, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
There is no copyright violation here as I am the copyright holder. Ori Idan (myself) is the CEO of Helicon books.
- Please note that as a matter of course not add articles on products you are selling yourself. See WP:COI Travelbird (talk) 12:30, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
If I don't add it who can? Everyone else who will add it may be considered violating my copyright.
- There are also serious WP:notability concerns regarding your product. Generally speaking, if your product become notable to such ans extent that it should be covered by an encyclopedia, third parties will create an article here using entirely their own words. In the meantime: Wikipedia is not the place to promote your product and therefore you should refrain from adding articles here for products you and/or your company are selling. editYour addition has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Travelbird (talk) 12:25, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
Note that this is something revolutionary since it is the first reader to fully support EPUB3. Therefore I think this is important. Note also the page about Aldiko (a different and not so special EPUB2 reader) how can they write about it?
- Thank you for pointing that out. Editors will look into copyright problems with that article as well. Travelbird (talk) 13:08, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
Again I don't think this is copyright problems as it is with my page. I request that you return my page as I am the copyright owner so there is no copyright issue here. Since this is a revolutionary new product I think it deserves it's page.
The article Gyan Reader has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Completely unsourced article nominally about a non-notable e-book reader. Searches brought up no significant coverage in reliable sources about it.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rorshacma (talk) 01:24, 30 September 2022 (UTC)
