You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Dark matter. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. answer to message on my talk page - First, "Related changes" really means "changes to related pages", not to Dark matter itself. What you thought you were clicking is at the top of the Dark matter page, labeled as "history". There you will find there were 3 "conflicting editors" - your changes were removed by User:71.202.236.175, then by User:Lars T., then twice by User:131.215.123.98 who wrote what you see below. If you were unaware of the history page and the talk page, then surely you must have noticed that your contribution kept getting removed. As most Wikipedians are graduate students rather than senior citizens as on your user page, I called it edit war. Clicking Talk:Dark matter#Fourth Universal Field as suggested below, is a good place to discuss why your contribution keeps getting removed. In general, clicking "Discussion" at the top of any article is a good place to discuss changes to that article. Art LaPella 03:08, 12 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Edit War

edit

Hi Ordovico. I think I'm the other editor Art is referring to. (I wouldn't have called this an "Edit war" yet, but I think Art is right to be careful with new contributors.) I don't mean to be rude, or to discourage you from editing Wikipedia. However, there are certain standards we need to follow to decide what should go into this encyclopedia, and I don't think your edits meet those standards. Please read the pages at WP:OR, WP:V, and WP:RELY. Feel free to discuss this at Talk:Dark_matter#Fourth_Universal_Field. --131.215.123.98 20:37, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
