Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Request reason:

I would like to keep this username (orangecookie), it just represents me. I do not want to use my real name. I recently edited a page "List of Female Electronic Musicians", to add a link to my name, but now understand that I should have linked it to a Wikipedia page. By the way, I notice that the page has been removed, but if it goes up again, I now know the correct way to edit it. If you could unblock my name, that would be great. I'm sorry about the misunderstanding. Thank you so much. Orangecookie (talk) 21:52, 9 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I appreciate your politeness, but our policy there is very strict on this score; you can't use this username here now that we know it's you, and even if you agreed to change it you'd have to agree not to edit that article (except in unusual circumstances) at the same time. As for the article on yourself, I will refer you to this page for the criteria we usually apply when deciding whether to have articles on musicians or not. If you can demonstrate that you're notable using reliable sources, I have no objection to restoring the article and putting those sources in myself or having someone else do it. — Daniel Case (talk) 22:19, 10 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
