Emerald

edit

The article contains very specific, technically detailed information relating to the chemical compostition of Emeralds; the article has very few sources for this information. The introduction has no references at all for example. For all I know, someone could have made all this up, although i'm sure they haven't. --Brideshead 21:05, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree the section on synthetics needs to be referenced, but the first paragraph of the intro for example is pretty much common knowledge. That part at least is easy for me to add.--Olneya 22:08, 28 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

That'd be great, I admit to knowing nothing whatever about gems, I just stumbled across the article and tagged it unsourced. Anything you can add to improve it would be great. --Brideshead 12:04, 31 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Padparadscha Sapphire

edit

Hi saw your comments of April on SaulH's page.. agree probably better to merge with Sapphire, in condensed form (paragraph). Also seen Richard Wise's blog on the recent Christie's sale ?

Sounds good, I may work on that some evening. I did find a pretty good reference on coloration from GIA, keep meaning to find another if I can. Haven't been over to Richard Wise's site for a while, I'll go check it out, thanks! Olneya 20:50, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Jewelry and Gemology Project

edit

Hey there, been a while, perhaps you have some time to spare to work on some gem pages ? I hope all is well, any idea what happened to SauliH ?

With the days being longer, we've been working on getting our house construction done and I haven't had a lot of energy left for concentration on editing :) I've been meaning to look into merging the sapphire articles though - never tried that before, so not much clue how, but should be easy enough to figure out. I also am heading to Tucson later this month, so if I end up with some free time I've been planning to get over to the library at the U of A and organize a few references.Olneya 17:14, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merger Sapphire articles

edit

I proposed the merger with Padparadscha.. if you have time to comment that'd be great. Hope all worked out with house construction etc.. Tucson must have been sweltering hot in July :-) Gem-fanat 17:35, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
