Cool words

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I removed your posts from Talk:English language and Talk:English Wikipedia because the talk pages of articles are for discussing improvements to the articles not for sharing personal opinions. If you want the definitions of words, you can look them up at Wiktionary. By the way, before I deleted your post User Tomeasy had replied as follows: —teb728 t c 00:26, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why don't you consult a dictionary? How can it be that you can communicate here in English but you don't know the definitions of the words 2-4? Tomeasy T C 18:17, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Chair throwing

edit

A tag has been placed on Chair throwing, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Mayalld (talk) 14:19, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article does not meet the critera above at all. Of course, it does not include "poor writing, vandalism, material not in English, badly translated material, hoaxes, etc.", Wikipedia articles are not supposed to contain content like that. It is a well-referenced stub, which can be improved. I'm now reverting your (possibly) malicious addition of the speedy deletion tag. Officeworld (talk) 14:33, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Chair throwing. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Mayalld (talk) 14:45, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is perfectly clear. You MAY NOT remove a speedy deletion tag from an article that you created. Even if you are convinced that the tag shouldn't be there, you are not allowed to remove it yourself, so removing it is vandalism. Mayalld (talk) 15:33, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Chair throwing

edit

I have nominated Chair throwing, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chair throwing. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Mayalld (talk) 15:35, 1 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
