Photo change without discussion

Twice now you have changed the infobox photo of Aryna Sabalenka, and twice reverted by different editors. Please don't change it again without proper discussion. The one you keep putting up is inferior but perhaps a better one will surface. Fyunck(click) (talk) 03:47, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

I absolutely don't understand why the photo is reverted? It's a better photo, more recent and up to date. And all of these photos are also in the other languages.

The photo is worse and was actually discussed on the talk page. For the infobox what is required is a head/shoulder shot only, preferably looking towards our left. Recent doesn't matter as much as lighting and whether it captures the reason or time period the person is notable. I didn't say we shouldn't try to find a better "free" photo, but not the one you placed. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:04, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

I have just added a larger picture. The qualify is good and is showing her face better. This picture is also used in any other langues of other articles. It is a much. That VERY same picture is Used on ALL other languages pages of Sabalenka. I don't understand why you would feel the need to remove the edit. The picture is better and has a better angle. Ocoudis (talk) 18:28, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

It was judged goofy by one person? But when you go on Rafael Nadal's page he's also smiling heavily and it's not a problem.

SABALENKA is known to be goofy and smiling often this is 200% her personnality.

I'm sorry but I don't see how a better picture of Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos is disruptive.

This picture has been approved on the french and other languages page as well. It's a clearer and more updated picture.

I don't understand why you would remove my edit. It's completely normal.

Others removed it first for their own reasons. If removed you discuss on the talk page... you don't bludgeon it in over and over. That's disruptive and can get you blocked. What other wikis do matters zero here as they may have lower standards. Had you asked on the talk page to see if maybe someone could zoom in on it better maybe they would have helped out. I checked her talk page and there is absolutely no discussion on that. So others removed it without valid reason which is unacceptable too.

That picture is completely valid, good quality and up to date.

No matter why they removed it, You Don't Add It Back! You will be the one administrators block. If it gets removed, YOU bring it to talk. YOU start the discussion as to why the older photo is inferior. Convince others you are correct. You are new here so maybe you don't realize the protocols. I added a new pic to Sabalenka's infobox. If it gets removed, we go back to the original, and I won't add it back without trying to convince others that it is better than the original.
