As a new editor, you might want to read over some of our core policies and guidelines. It will help you understand what's going on. I strongly recommend:

  1. Neutral Point of View - Everything must adhere to a neutral point of view. Saying "so-and-so is the best singer of his generation" (citing your example) is definitely not compliant with any of these policies.
  2. Attribution - All statements must be attributed to reliable sources and verifiable.
  3. Reliable Sources - What we consider as reliable source permissable in articles.
  4. Citing Sources - How to actually cite these sources.
  5. Original Research - What it is, and why it's prohibited.
  6. Notability - How to determine if something is notable enough to warrant inclusion in Wikipedia.
  7. NOT - What wikipedia is not.
  8. WP:CIVIL - Civility is absolutely essential when dealing with other editors.

Judging by the content of your post, I am sure you haven't really had the chance to read any of those. Instead of rushing in to tell established editors what's what or accusing them of being biased against your favorite oboe player, read our rules and guidelines first. Also, please sign your talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). Thanks! /Blaxthos 00:03, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the long message, but it's all irrelevant -- I have no interest in what www.encyclopedia.com says... the only thing that is relevant is our policies, as listed above. Please read them before continuing, or you'll find more of the same... we want your help, but only so far as you play by the rules we've established. Thanks. /Blaxthos 00:26, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Blaxthos, did you get my last post?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Oboeboy11 (talkcontribs)

I did. There are too many individual problems to list. If the article survives the deletion proceedings then I'll give general pointers with specific examples. /Blaxthos 02:12, 6 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
