First Episode Air-Date

Hello. I've started a discussion on the List of Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes Talk Page about the premiere airdate, if you're interested in adding your opinion. --Nalvage 15:21, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Headings and redirects

edit

Hey there, I just noticed you changed the heading "Brennan Buchanan" in One Life to Live children to "Bree Buchanan." You probably don't realize this, but if you change a heading that notes "This section is the destination" of a link, you must go to each redirect and change it too. Otherwise, that link won't point to that section, since it's looking for the old name. I went ahead and fixed Bree Buchanan, Brennan Buchanan and Bree Brennan, which all redirected there. — TAnthonyTalk 18:18, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

And hey, thanks for all your new additions! — TAnthonyTalk 18:34, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
LOL, OK I have to be a pest again. When you add a new character section to an article like One Life to Live minor characters, the fisrt mention of the name should be in bold per WP standards. Also, you have to actually create the redirect to bring editors there; in the latest case, I created Moe Stubbs. Thanks. — TAnthonyTalk 18:36, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Can you check the dates for the Walshes here? Thanks. — TAnthonyTalk 23:00, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I see you took care of them, thanks! Does that mean that Michael and Marcie married on 5/10/06? I'd like to note that in their articles. — TAnthonyTalk 23:41, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Look, there is proof that Andrea Evans and Brian Kerwin are on contract, and there are references to them. So please stop removing them and putting them under recurring. Candyo32 (talk) 20:46, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's lovely. They're recurring. --OLTL2002 (talk)

Do you have proof they are recurring? Candyo32 (talk) 04:06, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
The characters being listed in a SoapCentral cast list is not proof that they are on contract (the site sometimes fails with the details, and they don't even specify that the list is exclusively contract players). I definitely recall it being noted in the magazines that Kerwin was recurring (while Austin Williams was not, weird) ... I believe Evans is also recurring (she's on for a limited time, by her own choice didn't have a contract on Passions for 8+ years, and resides in LA, not NY where OLTL is taped) but I don't recall a specific article which proves it either way. — TAnthonyTalk 08:00, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Can't we count the ACTUAL CAST CREDITS? I don't care if it's a short-term contract or not, it's still a contract! And both Evans and Kerwin are listed. Alexisfan07 7 August 2008 —Preceding undated comment was added at 05:32, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

One Life credits

edit

Hey, do you know when they air the ending cast credits? I've been looking for days and can't find them. It might help clear up the crediting problem. Thanks! Alexisfan07 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.209.132.182 (talk) 22:17, 23 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the delay, my Internet's been down...The cast credits are shown on Friday's, unless there is a last minute pre-emption, then they appear on Monday for a week or two until things are straightened out.--OLTL2002 (talk) 20:52, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Did you watch the credits on Friday? I'm not making any of this up. David wasn't listed. And everything else I corrected was correct. I'm not going to arbitrarily move cast around. Besides, I have a source, two if you count Ultimate Soap Fan, and you have none. Alexisfan07 —Preceding undated comment was added at 02:30, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I do have a source, Soaps In Depth. And the closing credits aren't accurate. I always believed them, until they credited Tari Signor as Tar Signor. So don't change it again, because I will keep changing it back. And please learn how to sign your messages. thank you! --OLTL2002 (talk) 06:33, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, and by the way, a storyline for Miles is in the works (check out soaps.com) --OLTL2002 (talk) 06:34, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Would you kindly point me to where soaps.com says that Miles is getting a story? Second, a misspelling doesn't mean they're legally inaccurate. They would get sued if someone wasn't credited, i.e. David Chisum. Maybe he's still around, but as recurring. Third, soaps in depth also said that Maria's son Sam on AMC will be returning, but it's all hearsay. The don't know things FOR SURE. It depends on the section you read it in. And besides, it was stated on SOD.com that Thom Christopher has a three month contract. It doesn't legally matter how long he's on for, he's still under contract and that isn't the same as recurring. I also believe Andrea Evans is under a three month contract, that is sure to be extended. Alexisfan07 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, let's just wait until there is a new opening sequence, that will prove it all. --OLTL2002 (talk) 16:21, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough, but who knows when that's gonna be? I understand the David issue, but can we at least come to a compromise and credit Andrea and Thom on contract, since we have sources that say as such? I don't think the openings credit short-term contracts in the opening (i.e. Dixie's return a few months ago on AMC), so it's debatable whether or not short-term contracts count as contracts in the cast list or if we should just count them as recurring. Alexisfan07 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Do you want me to again post the articles? --OLTL2002 (talk) 17:32, 27 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Just for curiosity, sure. With so many conflicting reports, we can definitely wait for the new opening. Alexisfan07 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Jane Elliot's GH Tenure

edit

Hi--

Jane Elliot's first stint at General Hospital as Tracy was from 1978-1980. She then was on Knots Landing from 1980-1981. She played Carrie Todd Marler on Guiding Light from 1981-1982, Cynthia Cortlandt on All My Children from 1984-1986, and Anjelica Devereaux on DAYS from 1987-1989, before returning to GH from 1989-1993. These dates are facts as verified by Soap Central, as well as several other sources. Why do you dispute that? Sharkhunter314 (talk) 18:59, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I didn't mean to remove Duhon, I just wanted to correct Elliot's dates. I will change Elliot's dates back, but make sure Duhon is still on the list. OK? Sharkhunter314 (talk) 17:49, 2 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit-warring/3RR

edit

Please take a break and return to editing with a calm demeanor and open mind. I am close to reporting both of you for edit-warring/violating 3RR for your actions at List of One Life to Live cast members and Vincent Jones. — TAnthonyTalk 23:46, 5 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I understand all of this, and I have been trying to reason with this editor, but they just seem to want things their way. A vacation (Erika Slezak's in particular) doesn't need to be reported, because it is only a short vacation and not an exit. John Loprieno's return was deemed open-ended at the time of his July return. I am willing to compromise with this editor as I said, but they have to meet me half way, and I really do apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you. --OLTL2002 (talk) 23:59, 5 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Because it makes no sense, if the article doesn't exist why keep them--KingMorpheus (talk) 00:52, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

No I won't stop doing it because, if someone wants to create an article they don't need encouragement. Also, in the case of certain actors aren't notable for there own articles. And for characters, I mean come on is Andrei Karpov or Giselle or Rachael the Nanny on AMC ever going to be deemed notable enough for an article? --KingMorpheus (talk) 02:03, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Okay, so maybe characters like GH's Giselle or AMC's Rachael may never have articles of their own, but Andre Karpov may have one on GH. And yes, the correct spelling is Andre. Trust me, I always thought the same thing whenever I joined WP last year, but I have witnessed first hand that red links do encourage (yes, encourage) new articles. And would you think that characters like GH's Coleman or Cassius would have their own article? Probably not, but they do. So leave red links alone. I don't want to be involved in any more edit wars for petty little reasons like this one. Thank you. --OLTL2002 (talk) 03:57, 11 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Children of General Hospital

edit

Please stop taking off Michael without asking before you do anything with it. I am going to talk to another person and see what they want to do with the character. --M42380 (talk) 20:19, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

There is no sense in having two articles about the same subject. The Michael Corinthos article was obviously created before Children of General Hospital was. And Michael is a teen, so he doesn't belong in the children articles. I'm not trying to start up any edit wars or arguments, I am just stating the obvious. Thank you. --OLTL2002 (talk) 05:38, 15 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
all that i am saying that it would be nice if you talk it out with someone before you take something that maybe that they don't want off of it. --M42380 (talk) 02:33, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
You're right, I should have. I just didn't think that it was that big of a deal, seeing as how there already was an article. I am just trying to improve Children of General Hospital to prevent it from deletion. Thank you. --OLTL2002 (talk) 02:38, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I don't want it being deletion either but some people might still see him as a child. Maybe we could work on it together and talk about it when we are going to change it?--M42380 (talk) 00:54, 18 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit-warring/3RR

edit
Request to OLTL2002 and Onelifefreak2007

Without blaming either of you for specific inappropriate behavior, I am making a formal request to both of you that you please stop what appears to be edit-warring and violating 3RR in various articles, including One Life to Live (episode count disputes) as well as List of One Life to Live cast members and Vincent Jones (contract vs. recurring status of actors in dispute). I have also seen incivility and what may be construed as personal attacks in your interactions with each other.

I have made similar requests and warnings recently in edit summaries, on article talk pages and your user talk pages, with little success. Viewing the histories of any of these articles shows much revert and back-and-forth activity between you, and there is much talk page/edit summary history of your unconstructive arguments. My next step will be to make formal reports when new violations occur, and let these histories speak for themselves; this would certainly lead to blocks for at least one of you. I am hoping you can instead work out your issues in a civil manner. Thanks. — TAnthonyTalk 18:00, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

There was a time about three or so weeks ago that I tried to be civil to this guy, but despite that, he just seems to want to argue. I have posted SOURCES on Vincent Jones. Those sources are being removed by this guy, who is supposed to be banned. I admit to any wrong doing of mine, but there have been no sources whatsoever that Brian Kerwin is recurring. But there have been sources that Tobias Truvillion is gone. With all due respect, in case you haven't noticed, I have not changed the episode count on the One Life to Live article for several days. Every time I have tried to reason with this guy, it has turned into harrasment. That is unnecessary. He seems to want to 'claim' articles as his 'own'. From this moment on, I am not even going to talk to the guy anymore. It is not my fault that he cannot talk in an adult manner, and I am just about to report him AGAIN. Thank you! --OLTL2002 (talk) 22:41, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your response. I am of course not singling you out, but I do intend to start reporting any more "drama" that occurs and wanted to give fair warning of that. If you remain civil, make valid edits and do not violate policy, you'll be fine. Thanks. — TAnthonyTalk 23:39, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removal of Miles/Vincent

edit
I didn't look which one you removed, but the character page (http://abc.go.com/daytime/onelifetolive/characters/bio?pn=characterbio) no longer shows either. ABC wouldn't remove them unless they were gone. It's valid, no character has appeared since being removed from the bios page. And since neither is on contract, you can't argue any proof they're with the show. Also, if you removed Miles, the SOD that came out today refers to David is being written out in April. So there is proof right there for him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexisfan07 (talkcontribs) 05:02, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I apologize. I only read SOD occasionally, so I wasn't aware of this. However, I do know that Vincent is gone. Although, there is somebody that edits the cast that refuses to believe anything unless the source is soaps.com, so he/she are the one that keeps adding him. --OLTL2002 (talk) 13:06, 30 August 2008 (UTC)\\Reply
Oh, sorry! I see that it was the other person I messaged, as I wasn't sure which one of you were adding them back in. Yeah, that person isn't right. Alexisfan07
Yeah, I've been having problems with this dude all summer long, he thinks that he knows everything. So, I'm just giving you a warning that you may get into a few arguments with this guy. --OLTL2002 (talk) 23:48, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Listen, Onelifefreak2007 has been blocked for 24 hours for edit-warring on the Vincent article. I do believe his behavior in general is inappropriate and not in good faith, but I should point out that by constantly engaging him in the same articles (and reverting him) you are also putting yourself in danger of being blocked for the same thing. This date thing is so minor, it's not worth getting blocked for. If he insists on breaking rules and violating policies despite warnings, let him do so and face whatever consequences there may be, but don't jeopardize your own credibility over this. Thanks. — TAnthonyTalk 15:09, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. The block is intended to send a clear message that it takes 2 to edit war and that discussion is the only way to resolve a disagreement. Also a couple of recent comments on talk pages have been uncivil. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Spartaz Humbug! 05:48, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
May I take a moment to apologize for any inconvenience. Though I have had several arguments with Onelifefreak2007, I have also made several attempts to work through disputes. I accept my blocking, and will keep it as a reminder should anything else like this occur in the future. I will also continue to try and work through problems, as I have done in the past. Thank you! --OLTL2002 (talk) 23:26, 18 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

General Hospital

The character of Olivia does NOT have the surname Cerullo - this was based on rumors only and it has been positively established on several episodes that she is Olivia Falconeri. 118.93.30.231 (talk) 11:46, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Okay, forgive me. I only changed it one time, and that was because I heard the name 'Cerullo' mentioned in the background the other day (I don't watch anymore, but I live with people who still do). Someone may have mentioned Lois. But there is no need to get defensive. Thank you. --OLTL2002 (talk) 13:20, 26 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Didn't you say that about.com was a more reliable source than soaps.com? Cuz in reality it's really not, they are saying that Andrea Evans last airdate is October 31 and well she's not really leaving the show. Justis is but not Andrea. P.J. (talk) 05:43, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Guess what? They're both leaving. --OLTL2002 (talk) 21:29, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Roger Howarth as Todd Manning in opening sequence

edit

That same image was used in 2003 as well. Why do you want it state that it is from 2002 when it was used for both years? Flyer22 (talk) 22:05, 26 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

This one in particular was from the live episodes, whenever the performer's names appeared in the opening, and then the image was replaced that same year. There isn't really anything to confirm this, unless YouTube could serve as a reference. --OLTL2002 (talk) 01:42, 27 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Oh, okay. I even have all of the live episodes in regards to Todd's scenes on tape. I have a lot of Todd's scenes on tape. You are right, and I see your reasoning in this case, of course. I was not even paying attention to the fact that his name is showing in that screenshot; I mean I saw it, but it was not registering for me in being from the 2002 live episodes. Flyer22 (talk) 20:08, 28 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
lol. No problem. --OLTL2002 (talk) 21:13, 28 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

List of General Hospital cast members

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of General Hospital cast members. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Are you the one that keeps adding him back in the cast list? He's not recurring, it was stated his return was only to usher in Rachel. Also, soapoperadigest.com doesn't list him, and they're infamous for listing excessive amounts of recurring cast members. It's stated here, from a really old article from March: http://www.soapoperanetwork.com/soaps/oltl/news/706-llanviews-revolving-door.html. Also, do you keep putting Jack Rovello in the recurring cast list? Have you watched the credits? He's on contract. Alexisfan07 26 June 2009
