Problem with username

edit

Hello,

Please read: WP:Welcome, WP:NUT and Wikipedia:Username, with special attention to section 4 on inappropriate usernames. I will report your account to WP administrators here: WP:RFC/NAME tomorrow if you continue to post under this username.

Happy editing! - Amerique dialectics 00:09, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey, this is to let you know I've gone ahead and reported your account here: WP:RFC/NAME. I've also been considering whether to report your repeated postings [1], [2],[3],[4] of non-notable information as direct violations of WP:3RR, but I'm putting that on hold to see how you respond to the RFC/NAME. You should consider this another warning.--Amerique dialectics 08:31, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
thanks for reporting me. great job, well done. I hope that you like my new edition. feel free to report more if you don't agree with me.
No problem. I'll do what I can to save some of your edits but I'm afraid a lot of them are out of line of policy or the WP:MOS. I suggest putting this behind you by getting another username and then working within consensus if you want to edit this article productively.--Amerique dialectics 09:09, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
yea, I have Obsessive-compulsive disorder, so bare with me. I hope that you don't have it. it is a bad habit which is hard to recover. the medicine that I take sometimes doesn't help.

Warning

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to University of California, Riverside, are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you.  Planetary Chaos  Talk to me  01:04, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

what is wrong with my edition? show me the part of the "vandalism" which I will be happy to change.

Please change your username

edit

It is likely, based on the discussion so far at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names, that this account is gooing to be blocked as a name violation of Wikipedia:Username. I strongly recommend that you go to Wikipedia:Changing username and request a new username. Possibilities include User:OCD, User:Ocd (capitalization does make a difference, with names), User:OCDP, and User:Ocdp, as well as an almost infinite number of other possibilities.

In general, you can check if a user exists by entering the following into the search box on the left side of the screen:

User:NameThatYouWantToCheckIfItExists

Please note that the wiki software is designed to prevent similar names from being created: if, for example, User:OcD existed (it doesn't), the system would (I believe) prevent User:OCD from being created.

If you have any questions on the above, please let me know. Thanks. -- John Broughton (☎☎) 18:42, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

why can't i call myself OCDpatient, because I am an OCD patient. and if i have cancer, i can't call myself cancer patient, either? I am not ashamed of myself having OCD. so why do you want to force me to change? --OCDpatient 20:44, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

If I may jump in, your name specifically violates this part of the username policy:
Names mentioning or referring to illnesses, disabilities, or conditions (e.g. AIDS, Amputation, Asperger syndrome, etc.) [are prohibited].
I hope that clarifies the problem. --Ginkgo100talk 21:03, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sock evidence

edit

It seems apparent from edits at Talk:University of California, Riverside (edit | [[Talk:Talk:University of California, Riverside|talk]] | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) that 61.6.47.6 (talk · contribs) is also User:OCDpatient. And I found edits strongly indicating that 61.6.47.6 is the same as the disruptive socks of SummerThunder (talk · contribs). The edits are at Cultural Revolution (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views), with a complicated edit history that is not made clear with just diffs. Here are examples of edits the two have in common that are not likely to be coincidental:
